What they have a hard time figuring, though, is how much our area benefits in prestige and tourism dollars.
But when those number-crunchers sit down at the end of this year, they can at least estimate the amount of money the two One Tree Hill Fan Reunions contributed to the 2010 budget.
Organizer Christy-Anne Arancibia said she guesses each person on her tour spends about $600 during their three to five days here.
"That's lodging, food. When me and my husband came down here we also did things like the Henrietta, the horse and buggy and the studio tour," she said.

OTH Fan reunion Featured
I received a nice package today from my amazing PR contact in Wilmington, seems like I (along with January's reunion) was featured on a National Reunion magazine.
I am honored & I in awe, I never thought this would be as big as it has become. I hope this now gives me a bigger, better & more legit name/event around the OTH community.

What is the Reunion & what does it entail?
I have been getting alot of emails asking what is the reunion & what it entails & so forth. I always send them to the blog to read the posts & get information. I would assume if you're emailing me its b/c you were here first.
I dont mean to be rude or offend anyone, but about 90% of people come to the blog or website & don't read whats on here, they prefer to just email & ask questions. This is the reason why we create a website of this magnitude, so we can rely the information to the world at one time. So PLEASE- read this before you ask questions, b/c eventually it gets old to keep telling people the same thing over & over again, when all the information is laid out right here for you.

-The reunion is a multi- day event, held in Wilmington, North Carolina with a group of One Tree Hill fans. We do different activities & meet new people & find new friends. Two women I met at the reunion are now one of my best friends.
- We visit the filming locations around Wilmington as a group & I coordinate a private studio tour for the weekday (when actors are working, so we usually have a slight chance of running into them while doing the tour- we ran into Jackson during the 1st reunion & got a cute wave from him!)
- I also guarantee a group rate with the Hilton Riverside in Downtown Wilmington, which for this coming reunion is $84 a night (compared to their website of $229 a night).
- One group dinner & lunch is usually included in the event price, along with a tshirt, the rental of the bus to take us around as a group, your studio tour fee & more.

Hilton's Inventory during Reunion
I just spoke to my coordinator at the Hilton & she made me aware that the Hilton ONLY has 16 rooms available for the weekend & is projected to sell out by sometime next week.
If you are looking into the reunion & staying at the Hilton at our group rate of $84 a night, you need to register ASAP so I can send you the information on how to register.
The Hilton has reserved 4 additional rooms for me at the River View Suites just in case, but those rooms are $94 a night.
Remember there are ONLY 5 days left to register for the reunion. I will register upto 8 more people until July 17th. But be aware you will not be able to choose your shirt size. I need to give a final # to the studio (not surpassing 10 ppl) & the hotel said that as long as there is inventory she will book for me, but she doesnt think these rooms will last much longer.

About My Price Change Tweet
I tweeted a little while ago that if I dont have a minimum of 20 people registered for the reunion that prices will have to change. Unfortunately this is true. This happen to the last reunion & it more than likely will happen here. This is why:
When I did the calculations for the reunion, I divided everything by 45 ppl, so everything is priced correctly if we had that many, unfortunately we dont have anything as close. So prices will have to go up for the transportation along with orientation/movie night rentals. Though I was able to change something for transportation, its a little cheaper but still needs to add up.
The private tour asks for a $200 deposit. This deposit is also the minimum price of the private tour, so I either pay $200, or have more people than $200 divided by $12 or $10 per person (which the math is about 17 or 18 people) & pay the difference for the entrance fee. Get me?
So all this must be taken into consideration, at the end of the day, the price will only change for about $6-$12 per person.
This is also stated in the Terms & Conditions that prices are subject to change. Hope this explains a little more whats going on.

Oil Spill Concern & the reunion
I have gotten a couple emails with people concerned about the oil hitting North Carolina. From all the news coverage I am looking at the oil will not get to North Carolina anytime soon & we hope it never gets there.
The oil just got to the panhandle of Florida & hasnt gotten around down to the Keys, so there is no worry about the reunion being affected due to the oil spill. We will be swimming in clean water.
So please dont allow this to keep you from coming to the reunion.

Final Reunion
For those that have been paying attention within the last couple of weeks, know that I have been waiting for a phone call for a HUGE job opportunity. The process has taken about 3-4 weeks & I finally got my call back today.
I am not comfortable in saying where I will be employed at this time but it is a HUGE world wide company, & in time I will announce it. Because this is a big time company & I need to dedicate my time to them at this time & at least for the next 6 months I have decided not to do any other reunions. If I do do anymore, I will have one final one for February/ March 2011, to be there for the last week of filming of season 8 (& most likely the series finale of OTH).
As for now, there will NOT be anymore reunions. I will announce in November if I will go ahead with the 3rd & FINAL reunion.
So please dont miss out if this is the last one, if you want to come, take advantage of this package deal. Remember if you are alone, I do offer roommate option, so you can at least split the hotel expense. Don't let that keep you from coming alone!
Remember Thursday is the last day to register at regular price.. $115 ($5 was added due to change of vendors for a certain event). The FINAL day to register is July 7th (I have extended it one extra day for now- will decide if I extend any longer). Latest on Meet & Greet
I thought I should update on this subject, after trying to get a hold of my OTH contact for a couple weeks & I have been unsuccessful, therefore I am putting this question to rest & I dont mean to be rude but I WILL NOT answer private emails about this subject either... Are You Considering the Reunion?

Update on This Summer's Reunion & Reunion #3
I have been hearing that many people dont want to register or are waiting to register until they hear about a meet & greet, here's the latest:
I have NOT heard back from my contact & this is what I am thinking, b/c the meet & greet is going to be a "favor" & done through donated time, my contact may not know when & who will be available during that time. I have stated time & time again NOT to depend on the reunion as a meet & greet, that is considered a special event & a special bonus that we will get during the days we are there. Seems like I will NOT know anything until the last weeks & by then, the registration will be closed, I will NOT accept anyone any longer, I dont care how much you beg.
Now here's my take: I am waiting until June 20th to make any final decisions, if there isnt a good amount of people registered, the reunion limit will drop down to 50 people. If I do get a meet & greet this time around, I know I will get one again on the next reunion I do, but if I DO NOT sell out the reunion this time with my meet & greet, I will NOT do another reunion in the end of October.
I am almost sure that I will get the information on the meet & greet at the last minute, so make sure you dont lose out. Remember the meet & greet is the icing to the cake for the reunion.
I still have about 65 spots remaining, & early registration ends the 24th, after that the final day to register is July 6th with a $10 additional fee. Hurry & guarantee your spot, send an email to: info@othfanreunion.com
